Today we have learned that Microsoft has purchased domains for Halo 7, Halo 8 and Halo 9. Registered by internet brand protection company MarkMonitor, Microsoft acquired Halo7.net, Halo7.org, Halo8.org, Halo 9.net and Halo9.org within the past 48 hours.
The domains were registered by DNStination, Inc., a service administered by MarkMonitor. MarkMonitor lists Microsoft as a “strategic alliance” on its official site and has worked to register Microsoft domains in the past.
When Halo 4 was announced, it was said to be the first in the “reclaimer trilogy” but these domains may suggest that Microsoft is planning on continuing the franchise beyond that. Today Microsoft commented on this by saying: “Microsoft often acquires various domain names as part of its ongoing business strategy, but beyond that we have no comment.”
Seeing is how Halo is by far Microsoft’s biggest franchises, it comes as no surprise that they want to continue the series fro as long as they can.

Higher quality version of the Halo 4: A Hero Awakens ViDoc, without the obnoxious Gamespot logo in the bottom right corner. XD I swear, I never get tired of watching this.
